Success not measured by numbers 11-5-12

Well this week was good, we had a lot of great things happen. Saturday we were lead by the spirit to do a lot of great things and great things resulted from it. As a matter of fact i have done a lot of reflecting this week, being that Friday is November 9th, which means I have been a missionary for a Year. Holly Cow how time fly's, I am Not ready to take this tag off I am not ready to leave these wonderful people here, not now not in 6 months. I love what i do, it is the greatest job I will ever do and am grateful that I have the chance to do it as well. Al though we may not be teaching a lot of people right now we are working with amazing members and helping their testimonies to grow and develop more. Working with less actives is just as rewarding as teaching and baptizing millions.

My companion is learning that right now, we talk a lot about success and how it is not measured by numbers. I am excited to be here in Prescott for Christmas I hear it is one of the most amazing places to be except for home of course. I must say right now I am Reading the New Testament straight through and how amazing it is and how much my testimony has grown of my savior Jesus Christ and how grateful I am to Him for all that he has done for me and how grateful I am for the chance that he has given me to Represent Him today and for the power and authority that my calling has. I am grateful for it. I am So Happy that I have the chance to help others find a greater joy and happiness in this life. I cant believe that time has flown like it has and the wonderful people that i have meet.

Love and Miss ya'll,

Sister Robinson

Another Transfer in Prescott! 10-30-12

Well I and S. Culler are staying and next transfer week is Dec. 12th just so you know. This week has been crazy Sister Taylor texted us on Sunday and told me that Josh and Angela got married and Josh got baptized this weekend. (Josh and Angela were from Bethany Home). The work is getting really slow but miracles are going to happen this month November is Miracle month for the mission. and we are going to have miracles in our area. It is going to be a great month. Not much to talk about the big news is Josh and Angela.

Love and miss you Sister Robinson

10-22-12 On my bike again... I just cant wait to ride my bike again...

First thing is first the weeks fly by faster and faster the longer you have been out. Not to mention transfers, this is the last week of this transfer so next week we will email on Tuesday, and start transfer number 9. :( the mission goes by so fast, it is crazy.

This weeks events:

Monday: p-day not much else.
Tuesday: we got a new investigator and she is Buddhist, i must say that is one interesting religion, and have a lot of similar pieces to the truth, but are missing a lot as well. She is a really sweet lady we meet her going through our area book and went by and we cleaned up her yard with the elders and went back the next week to teach her.
Wednesday: we had exchanges and I went down to El Mirage and worked with S. Bruckman (who came out with me), and the best part of it all was that I GOT TO RIDE MY BIKE FOR THE DAY AGAIN:) I loved it so much, and it was only in the 90s however it was really hot compared to Prescott. It was fun I got to go to their District Meeting and then on Thursday i went to my District meeting.
Thursday was weekly planning and district meeting .
Friday: We took our truck to the get looked at.
Saturday: we woke up at 5 am and went and to phoenix that morning and had a conference with Elder Neil Anderson of the 12, it was amazing conference and I am so excited to go out and work.

anyway sorry my mind is not on emailing.

love you, Sister Robinson

No crutches here... 10-15-12

This week we started off with dinner on Monday with a less active family and they had the cutest grand kids, I love those kids. We dropped one of our investigators for a couple of weeks so that he can exercise his faith and learn and grow in the gospel without us as a crutch. We did service for this Former investigator this week and set up a lesson for this Tuesday to go back and teach her. We are excited about that, she is Buddhist and believes in re carnation and crazy things like that, so we will see how it goes. We also had 2 lessons with our investigator named Dusty this week and on Friday HE PRAYED HE PRAYED OUT LOUD:) It was the most amazing prayed I have ever heard ever. It has taken us 9 weeks of inviting to get him to pray our loud. I thought i was going to cry during the prayed, but i held it together and did not. mostly because i did not want to explain why i was crying during his prayed. LOL Thursday we went to one of the wards young women s night and we shared with them how we decided we were going on a mission and what has been our experience so far. then they asked us questions about anything and everything. It was really neat and opened the idea up so some that would not have thought about it. Friday we had interview and I learned alot about my companion President shared with me some things that really helped me to learn how I could help her more. I love S. Culler so much, she is a great missionary. Saturday was a busy day just doing missionary things. LOL Sunday we were back to our normal 7 hours of church on Sunday, and can I say I really missed it :) I know crazy. After Church we went and helped a less-active put an alternator in his 68 ford pickup truck and we were actually helpful. I must say that who would have thought that the study habits from reading and studying the scriptures would help you with a 68 ford truck manual and being able to help connect the alternator. Anyway, we had a great week and learned lots. Love you all

watch this link it is opening comments from president Monson. He changes the age of missionaries, the whole world was shocked.

http://www.lds.org/general-conference/watch/2012/10?lang=eng&vid=1882747991001&cid=10 this was another one of my favorite talks. Elder Nelson backs up us missionaries and it was so good. All of conference is so good I love hearing the words and finding answers to questions i have. I am excited because we have interview this friday and I am so excited to talk to president. Mom I would love a pea coat because i have a feeling i will be here most if not all the winter and I can send it back home if I do leave. i am crazy cold at night already. I am sorry it is a short email I will try to write a letter i am just not in the mind to email right now sorry.

Love you all,

NO Planner- No news 10-1-12

Well first off i forgot my planner and therefore I forgot everything i was going to write about:) sorry:(. However, I wrote last week about this amazing hike that we were going to be going on and it was amazing I will send pictures. Also, at the bottom of it we talked about the Atonement and it was amazing. Then today we hiked a different hike and it was so good also, I am becoming quite the hiker. Next week S. Culler and I are going to try this intense workout that is popular around here called CROSS FIT and hopefully i don't die after it. LOL

I'm becoming quite the hiker!

Before the remodel....

After the remodel, its amazing what a difference
a sink makes.....

As far as the work has gone it is was great this week we are making progress with one of our investigators and he is a slow moving investigator. You know that saying you cant teach an old dog new tricks, well you can but it takes a lot longer then other investigators. We are making small steps with him and it is really teaching us patience and tolerance:) both are great things to learn. Well got to run and finish our p-day activities. here are some pictures I forgot to add we had to get our bathroom sink replaced this week, so there are some pictures of it. Not to mention it is not only where we wash our hands but also our dishes. so it was a real inconvenience.

Love and miss you,

S. Robinson
